CLAWSA Housing Debate

CLAWSA organised a debate on housing in London:

Last year’s Architecture Foundation/ Evening Standard debates about the future of London fired the imagination of public and professionals alike. The subsequent manifesto in the Standard called for a new model of well-designed, energy efficient and spacious high density housing.

puts forward his ideas

hear arguments expounded and debated.

At the heart of the debate is the question of density. If we need to accommodate so many new homes, must we revisit high rise, or should we accept popular demand for traditional forms of houses with gardens. The debate was an opportunity to hear the views of people deeply involved in shaping London’s housing. An open discussion followed the speakers’ presentations.
