CLAWSA Survey of its Membership

In January 1997 CLAWSA issued a questionnaire to all its members. The purpose of the survey was to identify what its members' views were on what CLAWSA should be doing for its members.

What is CLAWSA:

The Cities of London and Westminster Society of Architects is the branch of the RIBA covering the borough of Westminster and the City of London. It is the largest branch in the country and as at 4th November 1996 consists of 956 corporate members and 238 student members.

How does CLAWSA serve its members:

We have identified four principles areas of activities in which we can serve the aims of CLAWSA:

  • Improving public awareness of the value of good design through exhibitions of architect’s and student’s work.
  • Providing social events for its members.
  • Providing opportunities for members to learn new skills.
  • Provide opportunities for its members to create new business and employment opportunities as employers or employees.

CLAWSA and its key activities:

  • Public Awareness
